I am a 2005 graduate of Clairton High School and attended Slippery Rock University. I stumbled upon hockey when I was three and, thanks to Jagr, I never looked back.  I wear many hats but my ultimate goal is to work as hard as possible to make it into sports media full time (writing, reporting, public relations, etc). I reside south of Pittsburgh and when I have the time, I enjoy cooking, baking, and doing anything fun with those that mean the most. Kat Stratford is my spirit animal.

Stacey Miller

Content Manager

Pens Fan Since: 1994
Hometown: Lake Milton, OH
Current Town: Boston, MA
Favorite Player: Malkin, Fleury

After living in exotic locations such as Georgia and Delaware, Stacey recently relocated to Boston to work as an Editorial Assistant for Math at Pearson Education. Stacey graduated with a degree in Professional & Technical Writing from Youngstown State after stints at Augusta State in Georgia and St. Joseph's in Philadelphia. She briefly interned with the Augusta Riverhawks, a now-defunct SPHL team.

She splits her sports loyalties between Ohio and Pittsburgh (Steelers/Pens/Indians/Cavs/Buckeyes). Besides sportsing and fantasy football, Stacey enjoys spinning, video games, running and napping. She is very confident that she will beat you in Mario Kart for Nintendo 64.

Matt Steiner

Pens Fan Since: 1994
Hometown: Smithton, PA
Current Town: Bloomfield
Favorite Player: Malkin, Jagr

Matt is a mechanical engineer who spends all of his waking hours at work, Penguins games, talking about hockey, or playing dek hockey in beer leagues around the city.  It’s been questioned whether Matt is more of a Penguins fan or more of a Jagr fan – and the answer’s not obvious.  It’s a close call.  Since Matt was a four-year-old reading the IceTime during the intermission, he has been obsessed with hockey statistics and trends.  His background in engineering will be evident as Matt’s focus with our hockey blog will be to analyze and dissect statistical trends for the Pittsburgh Penguins and hopefully make some sense of it all.

Jon Rudder

Podcast / Featrued Writer

Pens Fan Since: 1997
Hometown: Wellsville, OH
Current Town: Cleveland, OH
Favorite Player: Jaromir Jagr

Jon started watching the Penguins when he was just seven years old. One of his first memories from games include being interviewed by KDKA's John Shumway following Mario Lemieux's return to the ice in 2001. That's really his only claim to fame.

Prior to this spring, he had a losing record in the "playoff games attended" category so he avoided Consol Energy Center for the first two rounds despite being a season ticket holder.

Since working for the Penguins in college, Jon has wanted to find another position where he could talk about the Penguins with fellow Penguin fans. PI does just that!

For the past three years, Jon has been one of the NHL correspondents for Youngstown Sports Live on ESPN 1240 in Youngstown.
Right now he works as a reporter in Cleveland, but don't hold that against him.

He's really uncomfortable talking about himself and even more so in when it's in the third person... But shoot him an email or tweet him and talk about, what else, the Penguins!

Alissa Marie

Pens Fan Since: 2001
Hometown: Pittsburgh, Pa
Current Town: Pittsburgh, Pa
Favorite Player: Pascal Dupuis

Alissa has an Associate Degree in Business Management/Marketing and has been a Penguins fan since she was about 5 years old. She has been skating on the ice since age 5 and has played hockey since age 8. She remembers her first Penguins game was against the Chicago Blackhawks, and Alexei Kovalev had a hat trick.

Ever since that first game, all she could think about was the jumbotron videos and the processes that must have taken place in order to make those videos so fascinating. Fast forward 16 years, and she finds herself making videos about the Penguins, and enjoys being creative with them.

Her dream is to be able to see the Penguins media room and meet some of the people who have made the jumbotron and promotional videos for the team. To this day, she sits at games and sees the jumbotron videos, and thinks of all of the work that goes into making a creation such as those.
