One week into the season and the Pens are off to a fast start. At this pace they will... not remain at this pace. But hey: *fingers crossed*In their first game of the season, the Pens hoisted their Championship banner and proceeded to remind the Washington Capitals why they were undeserving of the crown. While the game went to a shootout, the Pens played well in the absence of Sidney Crosby; and Marc-Andre Fleury was nothing short of spectacular, stopping 39 of 41 shots.
Final: Pens 3 - Caps 2

Fleury once again proved to be a deciding factor, stopping 34 shots and again allowing two goals. That's a .948 SV%, folks - and that's stellar.
Conor Sheary, Ian Cole, and Phil Kessel scored their first goals of the season.
