The Bettman Bracket
The Bettman Bracket has been shrunk from its original 14 contenders to just two remaining, and it should be a great match-up to see who wins the bracket and moves on to the semifinals. While the man the bracket was named after, Gary Bettman, lost his quarterfinals match-up, Marc Staal has moved on after receiving an Opening Round bye, but he'll face stiff competition for the last poll in the bracket.
Scott Hartnell vs Marc Staal
Scott Hartnell (64%) over Gary Bettman (36%)
Scott Hartnell (95%) over Tim Peel (5%)
Scott Hartnell (91%) over Rick Tocchet (9%)
Marc Staal (63%) over Tuukka Rask (37%)
Marc Staal (82%) over John Vanbiesbrouck (18%)
Marc Staal - Bye
Scott Hartnell cruised through the first two rounds of the bracket before topping the NHL commissioner in the bracket that bears his name. The former Flyers agitator who currently plays for the Penguin nemesis wannabe Columbus Blue Jackets has been a thorn in the side of the Pens for years. He'll take on a player who made his mark more recently, but in a big way. Marc Staal is infamous in Pittsburgh for his repeated cheap shots to the head and neck of Sidney Crosby during the playoffs, and to make matters worse the Rangers have eliminated the Pens from contention each of the past two seasons.
