This is Three Rivers Philosophizer - A weekly review of stuff that is going on in my brain... at least the stuff that has to do with hockey. If you don't like it, I don't blame you.

This Week In #FartNoise:

Penguins @ Blackhawks

I took this game off to just sit and enjoy it.  I hope you all who are active on social media do that same sometimes.

Capitals @ Penguins

During the game, Ovechkin slashed Kris Letang's ankle, injuring Letang and taking the game in a dark direction.  Letang would later return.

Separated at birth?
The Pens responded by taking the law into their own hands.

Late in the game the refs called a slash on Letang, giving the Caps and extended 5-3.  The Caps made it 2-1 and left hockey fans with a certain opinion on the quality of officiating in the game.
In the end, the Pens had a chance on a late power play, but an empty net goal leaves the final score 3-1 Caps.
Ovechkin was classy about it after the game:
Hey Ovi...

Blue Jackets @ Penguins

Malkin's goal just proved that ESPN doesn't know hockey.
Wait...
