Evgeni Malkin Injured: Out 2-3 Weeks

Here is some not so good news for Pens' fans.. Pittsburgh Penguins' center Evgeni Malkin is injured and will be out of the lineup for at least the next 2-3 weeks with a foot-injury.

Head Coach Dan Bylsma said today that Malkin was injured on his first shift in Saturday’s game against the St. Louis Blues. In that game,Malkin was a -1, took 4 minutes in penalty minutes and recorded 7 shots on goal.

If the time frame is correct. Malkin may not be back before the end of the regular season. If that ends up being the case, Malkin will finish this season with 23 G, 49 A, and a total of 72 points in 60 games. However, if Malkin can return in two weeks instead of three,  it would allow him to play in the final three games of the regular season.
