Tanner Glass Scores Sick Backhand Goal

How about Pittsburgh Penguins forward Tanner Glass?! Quite possibly the most improved player on the entire team. Glass was dreadful last season, only tallying two points wasn't as big as a physical presence as the Pens were hoping for. After all, Glass was making $1.5 million per-year and the expectations were for him to be a good third-or-fourth line player.

Well he's certainly transformed into that this season. Glass has 11 points on the season, which is a nine-point improvement on his 2-point season a year ago. Glass' career-high is 16 points with the Winnipeg Jets. Had Glass not gotten injured this season he would almost definitely have bested that. He still has a shot though with 20+ games left on the schedule.

Last night, Glass scored the most impressive goal of the game and arguably his career. His backhand shot is something that Sidney Crosby would have been proud of. Glass leads the Pens in hits with 158 and is tied for 11th overall despite missing 17 games this season.
