Droid Maxx Review by @evil_shero #VZWVOICES #FAN

Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Fans Voices program and have been provided with a wireless device and six months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.

Yeah, I sold out. I don't care. This phone is legit though and its the one that boasts 2 day battery life. My last phone was around when Bylsma and Letang jokes were funny so this was a big upgrade.

Here is is:

What's Good

Its a pretty sexy phone with a large screen. Some of the stuff that really sticks out is the active notifications on it. The guy who was going over the phone with us stated that people hit their power/unlock button 70/80 times a day. This phone will let you know in the lock screen what's going on and you can just down swipe to check it out. All you have to do is take it out of your pocket or touch it and the screen comes up for a few seconds and disappears.

This is what an email looks like.

Also what's cool is that all you have to do is twist the camera twice outward and the camera is ready to go. No BS just camera. So when my son is ready to bury a goal I can have my camera ready super fast. It can take burst pics by holding it down and it has a built in focus and flash on the device. The pics look pretty good.

This was taken at night with no lights on.
There are a lot of other amazing features but I'm going to save them for another post.

Negatives

Since this is a google phone it wants to sync all of my google+ contacts automatically giving me half completed profiles from over 2000 people I don't know. Who the hell uses google+? I found out you can choose which contacts you want to display but google makes it impossible for anything to work without you syncing all of your accounts.

Also, NO NHL GAMECENTER ... so far. They were kind enough to give us free NFL Mobile which works amazing but its very non-applicable to what I attempt to write about.

Finally, I can't get my email to give me push notifications without syncing my google+ accounts. I DON'T USE GOOGLE+ NO ONE DOES!

I will probably (and legally obligated) do another blog post soon detailing more of the functions I like on the phone. Most likely in video form so I can show you all live what this phone can do.
